Millbrook
Something is wrong in Millbrook. The town looks the same, the bakery still opens at six, and the neighbours still wave — but some of them aren't who they say they are.
You have seven visits a day. Talk to people, notice where they were and what they say, and write it all in your journal. Real people misremember. Impostors get their stories wrong in other ways. When you're sure, make your accusation. Get it wrong and an innocent neighbour pays for it.
Two ways to play Free mode: conversations come from a written set of topics. It's quick and works for everyone. Talk mode: ask the townsfolk anything in your own words. Their answers are written live by AI.
Controls: arrow keys or WASD to walk, E or Space to talk, J for your journal. On phones and tablets, tap to move.
Where the money goes
Millbrook was built with AI, and I know what that means for a lot of people. Writers, artists, and folks in all kinds of trades are watching their work get handed to machines. So every dollar this game brings in goes to helping people whose careers AI has replaced get back on their feet. The game is free to play. If you want to chip in, you're helping a real person, not me.
Made by Justin Fairchild, with feedback from Kayla and Conrad. Two people the earnings from this game aim to help.
